MAMQUAM

MELTDOWN

My countdown

Time until meltdown:

DeETS

We're back baby! Come on round and get jiggy with it on some whitewater while we pretend they aren't chopping the forest down by the waterfall.

This event involves two races and accommodates all levels.

Beginner boater? No problem, we have a race for you!
Intermediate? Feel like a pro on some slalom!
Class 4-5 boater? Show your other pals who truly is the fastest (also on a slalom course).

Mamquam Meltdown is a day of Class II/III Timed Slalom Racing on the Mamquam River in Squamish, followed by dancing and camping with your friends in the forest.

BoaterX is a test this year and is for class 4-5 paddlers.

  • You sure can! As long as you know how to safely swim in whitewater/get out of your boat, you can race. We will have safety along the river, however, please try to bring a buddy to follow you to prevent mass carnage.

  • Yes, there is. Please only arrive after 4PM on the 23rd as we have specific spots booked. It is first come first serve, but we’ve never had a problem fitting everyone (yet).

  • For the love of whitewater, no. There is a misplaced fee of $50 for lost bibs.

  • Please no dogs or glass at the campground. You're welcome to bring them to the race site!
