Don your disco pants and drysuits, river people!

We are back for the third annual Sea to Sky Women+ of Whitewater Weekend. Get ready for a soul filling weekend of empowerment, skill-building, and shared passion for the river!

This action-packed weekend will include a range of clinics from introductory-level lake sessions to Class IV skill building, all for the femmes and thems! Clinics will be taught by skilled and badass female and non-binary instructors. Beyond the rapids, get ready to camp riverside, enjoy a communal post-river meal, boogie to some vibrant live music and dj’s, and enter to win some wicked raffle prizes. Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to community organizations and projects.

Male friends are welcome to join for camping and party festivities, but clinics are reserved for the women and non-binary folks among us. Our aim is to build whitewater skills and knowledge, create community, and celebrate the sheer bad-ass-ery of those of us who are often minorities within the whitewater community.

Whether you’re a local or visitor to the beautiful rivers of the sea to sky, come join us to kick off our 2026 boating season in style!

Coming up:

May 8-10, 2026

UPDATE: Clinics are sold out
If you still want to join you can register for our flatwater and chill option, Saturday night food + party only, or buy a t-shirt at this same link! All pre-registration items close Sunday, May 3, 2026.

FAQ

  • Yes! We have limited sets of loaner gear courtesy of River Culture Kayaking. If you need to borrow gear, sign up ASAP when registration drops - it is first come first serve.

  • Yes! Men are welcome to join for the party festivities but clinic spots are for women+. Bonus points if the men in your life want to sign up for one of our many volunteer roles ex. shuttle bunny. To register to be a shuttle bunny please use this link.

A note on gender inclusivity:

We (the organizers) are a group of cis-gendered women and this event will be woman-centered in participant base and in language used. You can expect a lot of she/hers. Gender diverse individuals who feel comfortable existing in a woman-centred space are more than welcome to attend. We recognize the importance of building community and representation for all those who are minorities on the river beyond female identifying folks. A long term intention of the organizer team is to create an increasingly more open space for the LGBTQ+ community but we are still building capacity to expand our reach. If you are unsure if the event is for you, feel free to reach out for more information!
